Basically i m just wondering does this look like wet rot. Indicates condensation increase ventilation add soffit or ridge vents apply mould cleaner treat with boracol 10rh. The white powdery residue comes away bit like paper mashe and the wood underneath looks ok and isn t crumbling etc. That could indeed be and looks like a white fungus or mold growth on roof sheathing.

It is quite moist and is easily wiped off leaving a black mark on the cleaning cloth. Heavy white mold growth on floor joists.
