Step 2 unplug the washer or trip the circuit breaker.
Reconnect power to washer plug in.

Slip a screwdriver blade under the edge of the housing on one side of the machine and push directly against the clip inside to release it.

Front loaders have a locking mechanism to avoid opening the door during a washing cycle but occasionally this lock will be activated accidentally.
Less likely causes are a problem with the wiring or the main electronic control board.
If the washer will not unlock at the end of a wash cycle unplug the washer or disconnect power.
Wait approximately 2 minutes for control to reset.
Open the washer s top panel by disengaging the hidden retention clips.
If the door lock is defective the washer door will not latch properly.
Avoid trying to force the door open by pulling on it or by using tools to pry it open.
Inspect the door lock for damage.
If the door of a front load washer either won t lock shut or won t open it s likely that the door lock assembly is on the fritz.
The washer control may not unlock the door if the water level pressure switch indicates the washer is still full of water.
The door should unlock after this is complete.
