Every class and subclass was rigorously playtested and bounded accuracy means strong characters have only small advantages.
A creature that passes through a wall of light becomes dazzled for the duration of the spell.
An immobile blinding curtain of white light that blocks line of sight springs into existence.
A creature adjacent to the wall is blinded as long as it remains adjacent plus an additional 1d4 rounds thereafter closing its eyes or succeeding at a fortitude save negates the effect for 1 round.
When the wall appears each creature in its area must make a constitution saving throw.
The spell created a straight wall up to 60 feet 18 meters long 10 feet 3 meters tall and 5 feet 1 5 meters thick out to a range of 120 feet 37 meters.
There are a few miniscule exceptions to this but unless a player is taking builds from the internet and goes deep it is unlikely they will know about them.
The wall could appear in any orientation and did not need to rest on any surface so floating walls of light in vertical horizontal or diagonal positions were possible.
